What's the Best Battery for Your MOD? SONY VTC5?

There are more and more battery for mod coming out.
How to choose it for your mod? 18650s,18350,18490,26650?

The size of your MOD decides what's battery size you should choose.
Most Mech. mod used 16850 battery,some epipe may need 18350.
The bigger 26650s are also very popular now.

The whole world are looking for the Sony VTC5 now.
Are this battery really best in the world?
I don't think so.Let me explain that.

The VTC5 is 2600mAh,30Amp limits.
It works well on the big WW Mod.
Sometimes provide enough power and last all day.

How long any battery will last on a charge depends upon how hard you will use it. Meaning, what juice attachment will you be using. A standard resistance clearo/carto will be less draw on the battery than a 0.6 ohm RBA. You might get 7 - 8 hours use on a 700mah 18350 IMR battery when using a 2.0 ohm carto, but only 2 hours with a 0.6 ohm RBA.

When doing sub-ohm coils especially, you have to know the amp limit of the battery.

Use the Ohm's Law Calculator to determine if the coil resistance of your RBA will pull more amps than the battery has to provide. Going over the amp limit of the battery can have catastrophic results. 

1.0 ohm = 4.2 amp draw
0.9 ohm = 4.6 amp draw
0.8 ohm = 5.2 amp draw
0.7 ohms = 6 amp draw
0.6 ohms = 7 amp draw
0.5 ohms = 8.4 amp draw
0.4 ohms = 10.5 amp draw
0.3 ohms = 14.0 amp draw
0.2 ohms = 21.0 amp draw0.1 ohms = 42.0 amp draw

Such as:

• AW 18350 IMR battery has a 6 amp limit. Therefore I'd not use it with a coil less than 0.9 ohm to allow some safe headroom.
• Purple Efest 18350 IMR allegedly has a 10.5 amp limit. Therefore I'd not use it with a coil less than 0.6 amps, again allowing for some safe headroom for added safety.

So don't use Sony VTC5 in your all mods.
